GENERAL INFO
WTF are THC & CBD?
Well, science is now here to save the day. These two super common abbreviations stand for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), two of cannabis’ main active compounds. The first is the psychoactive part of the plant and the other is most certainly not. THC is the one that produces those “high” effects - sometimes stilating, other times relaxing. While CBD eases anxiety and promotes relaxation without any psychoactive effects. It is also commonly used to treated various medical conditions.
Sativa and Indica, and Hybrids oh my?
We’ll take you on a journey that leads to a greener road than the Wizard of OZ. Strains are generally categorized with one of three terms; Indica, Sativa and Hybrid. To generalize: Indicas produce a heavier sense of high, with a more sedative “couch lock” effect. Sativas often contribute to an uplifting feeling, leading to creativity and socialization. Hybrids represent a majority of the stains we see on the market today, which come from a cross between the groups.
